I never realized that our generation listened to music without range in loudness. It was very interesting to actually hear the differences in a variety of songs from different time periods. Why would our generation eliminate the range in volume? Maybe it’s because natural sounds are no longer used as often. For example, the beat of a drum has been simulated by a computer to now be the norm of what a drum should sound like. In other words, technology has taken over.
